The Village Residents Association funds a variety of community events within the Village, including the Village Festival, the Thanksgiving Potluck, the Ramadan Potluck, the Art Show, the Health Fair, Family Friday, and more.
Any resident who wants to organize a cultural event, program, seminar, organizational session, or other community-building activity, may apply for funding. Funds can be used for services, supplies, and refreshments. In order to apply, send an email to vra@berkeley.edu with the following information:
- Your name, phone number, and email address
- Your affiliation (organization, UC Village Resident, Residential Staff, etc.)
- Name of the event and tentative date
- A description of the event that outlines its purpose, goals, and target audience. Please provide an explanation of the way in which it benefits UC Village residents. Applicants for campus events are encouraged to seek funds from the ASUC and the Graduate Assembly
- A tentative budget of the event
The Board will review your request at the next board meeting and you will be notified by email regarding the result. If your request is approved, you will need to keep all the receipts for the items you purchased. You cannot be reimbursed without the receipts.
