2. Attend an info session to hear more about the position from current Hall Staff and Residential Living Professional Staff.

3. Begin working on your application, resume, and essay. Need help? We've got sessions for that too!

4. Fill out the application. Make sure you read the instructions carefully!

5. Candidates will be notified about their status in the next steps of the process in late January.

Who should apply?

Any undergraduate or graduate student who has a committment to creating inclusive, rewarding, and safe communities in the residence halls! We value all different types of experiences; there is no set of specific qualifications of who we are looking for. Being on hall staff is a large time committment, so please be prepared to make it a large part of your Cal experience during the 2010-2011 academic year.

However, the minimum requirements for the position are that you have current experience living in our residence halls and are a full-time student with at least a 2.3 GPA.

If you are an incoming graduate student, you are welcome to apply. Please attach a letter indicating your intent to apply/enroll in a program as well as the approximate date you expect to receive an acceptance.

Graduate students are especially encouraged to apply for the Apartment Assistant and Theme program Assistant positions.
